Select File > Connection Wizard from the top menu bar to open the setup screen. Click Next on the welcome dialog.
Choose your target Host Type (e.g., UNIX, VT, or standard serial text terminal) and click Next.
Enter your destination Host Address (IP address or URL) and the appropriate Port Number (Default Telnet is 23). Click Next. Type a descriptive Profile Name for your shortcut.
Click Finish and select Yes to instantly launch your new legacy terminal session. Security Adjustments (SSH & SSL)
If your terminal connection requires a secure channel rather than basic Telnet, apply these changes immediately after completing the wizard:
To Enable SSH: Navigate to the Host settings tab, look for the SSH option, check it to toggle secure shell protocol, and customize encryption parameters if required.
To Enable SSL/TLS: Check the SSL box in your connection options. The client will automatically redirect the port number to 992 (the default secure protocol port) and populate a dedicated SSL management tab to configure certificate parameters or toggle TLS. Network Administrator Rapid Deployment
If you need to configure multiple workstations identically across a network, you can bypass manual setups by utilizing command-line deployment. Run the setup package silently using automated switches.
Push a pre-configured connections.xml file directly into the local application directory (C:\Users(user)\AppData\Roaming\Cybele Software\zScope6) to instantly map identical profiles for all end-users. zScope Terminal Emulator Guide v6.5 – Cybele Software
