To preview multiple video files at once using HamMultiPlayer, you need to indicate the hosting folders, scan the contents, and choose your preferred multi-video display mode. Because the software is portable and based on MPlayer, it can render and control multiple video thumbnails simultaneously on a single screen without needing installation. Follow these steps to set up and manage multiple previews: 1. Load and Scan Your Videos

Select Folders: Use the right-hand folder tree panel to navigate and highlight one or multiple folders containing your videos.

Scan Contents: Click the Scan button (then click Go) to let the program index all available video files in those directories.

Generate Previews: The software will automatically start loading the videos into individual animated thumbnail slots across the top interface area. 2. Choose Your Multi-Video Display Mode

You can toggle between different viewing modes to change how many clips play simultaneously:

Default Mode: Displays a customizable grid of video thumbnails (default is 8) at the top, and plays one selected video in a larger main area below.

DualView Mode: Splits the display pane to let you watch and compare two videos side-by-side at the same time.

WallDisplay Mode: Expands the grid view to play up to 8 distinct videos simultaneously across the main viewing window.

FullWidth Mode: Hides the folder navigation panel entirely, expanding the thumbnail previews across the entire width of your screen. 3. Adjust the Number of Preview Slots

If you want to view more or fewer concurrent previews, you can adjust the layout constraints: Open the Preferences / Options menu.

Locate the Number of previews [ Cols x Lines ] configuration box.

Change the values to add extra rows or columns of thumbnails to fit your screen resolution. 4. Control Simultaneous Playback

Individual Controls: Every individual video thumbnail has its own playback bar, play/pause buttons, and rewind tools underneath it so you can control each file independently.

Global Toolbar Controls: The main toolbar located beneath the previews controls all loaded videos at once. Clicking a point on the global progress bar updates the playback timestamp for every single clip simultaneously, helping you find specific matching content across different files.

Single vs. Multiple Mode: Toggle the mode switch icon to choose between “Multiple Mode” (displays a different movie in each preview window) and “Single Mode” (spreads different chronological parts of the same movie across all preview slots).

If you are experiencing lag while playing several files simultaneously, you can right-click the previews, open Previews Options, and change the media playback speed to 50% or 75% to reduce CPU and GPU strain. HamMultiPlayer
