Starkiller (born Galen Marek) is the main protagonist of the video game Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (2008) and its 2010 sequel. He was trained as a lethal, secret Sith apprentice by Darth Vader to hunt down Jedi survivors and eventually help overthrow Emperor Palpatine. Portrayed via voice and motion capture by actor Sam Witwer, Starkiller belongs strictly to the Star Wars Legends continuity and is not part of the official live-action canon. Origin and Backstory
Starkiller was born on the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk to two fugitive Jedi who fled after Order 66. Darth Vader discovered the boy while executing his father, Kento Marek. Sensing an extraordinarily powerful connection to the Force, Vader took the child in secret, raising him under the codename “Starkiller”.
